Celebrities Come to help at Colonies Holiday miracles

Celebrities, including Hall of Famers Eric Dickerson, James Worthy and Tommy Lasorda, annually come to speak and mingle with the families and children at Colonies Holiday Miracles. This year, Mr. Dickerson and Worthy celebrated with two families in need who were given new, donated cars

As Mr. Worthy said, "What this is really about is bringing the fire department, police department, volunteers and local business owners together and giving back to the community. That's what this is all about."

The Colonies Holiday Miracles is an annual event for children selected based on need and referred by Hope Through Housing, House of Ruth, OPARC, Children’s Fund, Children’s Hope, House of Ruth, Upland Housing Authority, Pacific Lifeline, and Foothill Family Shelter. Each receives a gift card donated by Colonies Partners and Diversified Pacific, and are paired with a volunteer to shop at selected major stores within Colonies Crossroads shopping center.

Local tenants, both large and small, contribute to help, and major sponsors this year include Colonies Partners, Pacific Development Group, Kohl’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Target, Albertsons and Mountain View Chevrolet in Upland
