Children’s Holiday Miracle At Colonies

More than 200 disadvantaged children received $200 shopping sprees in December during the Seventh Annual Colonies Crossroads Holiday Miracles event.

The largest program of its kind in the Inland Empire, Holiday Miracles has served more than 1,200 children since 2008.

“This is about giving back to the community,” said Colonies partner Jeff Burum. “We’ve all been there.

We’ve all needed help. To be able to pay that back and make a difference in the lives of others is why we’re all here today.

Children were selected based on need and were referred by the Hope through Housing Foundaztion, the Upland Unified School District’s Healthy Start Program, Children’s Fund, Pacific Lifeline, House of Ruth, Foothill Family Shelter, OPARC, Children’s Hope and the Upland Housing Authority.
